At Dre’s Dog Spa, your dog’s safety, comfort, and well-being are our top priorities. With over 15 years of professional grooming experience, Andrea is committed to providing thoughtful, personalized care for every pup.

Please review the following policies before your appointment.

🐶 Health & Safety

For the safety of your dog and others in the salon, please inform Andrea of any health conditions, injuries, allergies, recent surgeries, medications relevant to grooming, or behavioral concerns before your appointment.

Dogs must meet applicable vaccination requirements. Any additional salon vaccination requirements will be communicated when scheduling.

If your dog displays signs of illness, significant distress, or a condition that makes grooming unsafe, the appointment may need to be modified, postponed, or stopped.

❤️ Senior & Special-Needs Dogs

Senior dogs hold a special place in our hearts!

We understand that older dogs may experience arthritis, mobility limitations, anxiety, or other age-related conditions.

Andrea takes an individualized approach, allowing for additional patience, gentle handling, and breaks when appropriate.

Your dog’s well-being will always take priority over achieving a particular haircut. Grooming may be shortened or discontinued if continuing would compromise your dog’s comfort or safety.

✂️ Matting & Coat Condition

Regular grooming helps prevent painful matting and maintain healthy skin and coats.

Severely matted coats may require clipping rather than brushing, particularly when attempting to remove mats would cause unnecessary discomfort.

Matting can conceal skin irritation, sores, bruising, or other underlying conditions. Severe matting can pull tightly against the skin, causing significant discomfort and potentially contributing to bruising or injury. Removing tightly matted hair may reveal previously hidden skin problems or leave the skin temporarily sensitive and irritated.

Andrea will discuss significant matting concerns and any necessary changes to the grooming plan with you.

Additional grooming time or specialized coat care may affect pricing. Any additional charges will be discussed before proceeding.

🐾 Behavior & Handling

Every dog has a unique personality, and we understand that grooming can sometimes be stressful.

Please let Andrea know about previous grooming difficulties, biting, extreme anxiety, or sensitivity to handling.

We believe in patient, compassionate grooming. However, services may be modified or stopped if a dog becomes excessively distressed or poses a safety risk to itself or others.

📅 Appointments & Scheduling

Grooming is provided by appointment to ensure every dog receives the time, attention, and individualized care they deserve.

Early Arrivals: While we appreciate punctuality, arriving before your scheduled appointment may interfere with another dog’s grooming session. To maintain a calm, safe environment and minimize unnecessary distractions, clients arriving early may be asked to return at their scheduled appointment time.

Late Arrivals: Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time. Late arrivals may require rescheduling if there is insufficient time to complete grooming safely and comfortably without affecting other appointments.

Cancellations & Rescheduling: We understand that life happens and unexpected circumstances arise! If you’re unable to make your appointment, please contact Andrea as soon as possible. Advance notice allows us to offer that appointment time to another pup in need of grooming.

No-Call/No-Show Appointments: Missed appointments without prior notification directly affect our small business and prevent other clients from booking that time. No-call/no-show appointments may be subject to a missed-appointment fee, with any applicable fee disclosed when booking. Repeated missed appointments may also affect future scheduling availability.

Pickups: Please arrange to pick up your dog at the agreed-upon time. Prompt pickups help maintain a comfortable environment for all dogs and allow Andrea to give her full attention to each scheduled appointment.

Grooming prices depend on factors including breed, size, coat condition, temperament, and the services requested.

An initial estimate may change if additional grooming needs are discovered.

Andrea will discuss significant changes to the service or price before proceeding.

We always strive to provide a beautiful result while prioritizing your dog’s health, comfort, and individual needs.

🩺 Emergencies & Veterinary Concerns

If a dog experiences significant distress, injury, or an unexpected health concern during grooming, Andrea may stop the service and contact the owner promptly.

In situations requiring urgent veterinary attention, the dog’s immediate well-being will be prioritized.

Please ensure your contact information is accurate and that you can be reached during your dog’s appointment.
